Re: CFF 2011 Season Discussion Thread
What the funk is up with the CPU and the damn screen pass? In the 1st half vs. BYU they honestly ran 7 or 8 screen passes and they burned me 75% of the time on them. Then in the 2nd half it was more of the same but this time I got smart and just used whatever DE was on the RB's side and shut it down. They scored 21 pts in the 1st half and then got blanked in the 2nd half until a late garbage TD with under 30 secs left. Anyone else seem to notice the CPU is a bit screen heavy?

Lol, I've noticed that too. I don't know if maybe we are just noticing how much they do it more now because it's a lot more effective with their blocking turned up or if for some reason these sliders change the way the CPU goes through playcalling. I tend to think it's closer to the former, as I imagine they always like to call screen passes but we generally stop them so we don't even notice it; but now with the speed threshold at 0 and CPU blocking turned up, those screens can do a lot of damage and getting burned on them a few times a game makes us think "WTH is up with the screens?"jfarcas14 wrote:What the funk is up with the CPU and the damn screen pass? By the way, what does everyone think of the announcement scroll up top? Like it? Don't like it? All of the information is already in the League pages, so it's not new information. Do you like just having the Heisman Watch candidates listed, or would you prefer to see their stats up there too? I had them up there but it took up quite a bit of space, and took a while to get through those scrolling them. Just looking for some feedback to see if anyone likes it/if it's worth doing every week. Thanks, guys.

Re: CFF 2011 Season Discussion Thread
Hey Miami we got a big non-conference game this week. I'm free pretty much all weekend. What works for you? By the way Hawk kudos on the PSU-Miami matchup.
Brings back some memories when Miami thought they were unbeatable coming into the 1987 Fiesta Bowl which was the de facto National Title game vs. undefeated #2 Penn St. The "Duel in the Desert" is still the most watched college football game in history. The antics of the players leading up to the game set it up as Good vs. Evil with Miami relishing it's "evil" branding. In one famous incident the Penn State players arrived to a pregame steak-fry in suits and ties, in stark contrast to the Miami football players attire of combat fatigues.
As part of Penn State's skit, John Bruno, Penn State's punter, dragged out a garbage can labeled with masking tape as "Jimmy Johnson's Hair Spray" and made a few jokes which the Miami players found offensive. This caused Jerome Brown, a defensive tackle for Miami, to stand up and unzip his sweat suit to reveal his fatigues. "Did the Japanese sit down and eat with Pearl Harbor before they bombed them?" he said. "No. Well, fellas let's go." Bruno replied with the snappy response, "Excuse me, but didn't the Japanese lose the war?" Penn St. of course pulled off the major upset 14-10.
Coach Paterno sees no reason to think this 2010 game pitting 2 of college football's most storied programs will go any different. Projection: Penn St. 27 Miami 20 Player of the Game: Matt McGloin, Ginger, ATTACK! HAHAHA

My bad Bill I thought we were in week 3 for some reason. We play next week after tomorrow's advance.
Re: CFF 2011 Season Discussion Thread
Well, after Tbuck and I play it will just be Bill left. So if he can get his game in tonight then we'll advance after he's done. You might be able to get a time set up to play right after the advance.jfarcas14 wrote:My bad Bill I thought we were in week 3 for some reason. We play next week after tomorrow's advance.

First time I've ever been iced...Great game buck, your team is just dominant. Not much chance when your O-line is that good compared to my D-Line. With 8.68 yards per carry between Clay and White and as many tackles as they broke (It was a hell of a lot more than the 5 the game credited them with), I was lucky to still be in it. Again, great game.

Great game also jhawk. Just be thankful it wasnt a smirnoff ice because that would have been the worst. But yea, i didnt even know if that feature was still in the game anymore. But i dont have much time now so I will post a recap later unless Hawk gets a nice one written up while I am gone. Again, great game man.

Not to put words in his mouth, but Bill usually seems to get on around 9pm eastern time, I know he needs to advance our other OD to the offseason as well as play this game.

Re: CFF 2011 Season Discussion Thread
guys I need help, in my other OD I am getting a transfer failed, dynasty unavailable or something like that message on the players leaving screen after I get my guys to stay. I cant afford to lose the players that I am getting to stay does anybody know a workaround this issue?

Nope, but this just happened with me yesterday. You have to do each person one by one and back out after each time. You will have to let the person causing it go though.

WTF LSU. A loss to Vandy. No higher than #96 in any major statistical category. Wow!
