Re: CFF 2011 Season Discussion Thread
Georgia continues it quick start to the year shutting out South Carolina 49-0
There isn't much else to say. Logan Gray threw for 222 yards and 0 INTs. AJ Green caught 4 balls for 128 yards, BUT was hurt in the 3rd Q and is lost for 3 weeks, which means he might miss the WVU game. Hopefully he heals quickly. Both Easley and Caleb King went over 100 yards rushing and 3 TDs each.
Georgia racked up over 500 yards in offense and held South Carolina to just 238.
Georgia broke into the Top 25 @ #21 after its big win last week. Hopefully they can break into the Top 20 after this impressive showing.
On the recruiting front Georgia got two insta-commits from 4* and ESPNU 150 G, Seth Stratton, and 3* S, Aaron Young.

After playing like 4 practice games where the scores were all over 30 (each team), Stanford actually plays defense and wins 24-14. Both UCLA's td's were defensive return touchdowns. Entire recap located in the Stanford subsection.

Ouch splff, that one hurts. That's almost as bad as a loss, maybe worse lol. It really is too bad that they don't have medical redshirts in the game.
Re: CFF 2011 Season Discussion Thread
Yeah, but I'm pretty sure you only have 69 players on your roster currently. Therefore, with 21 seniors leaving and one open roster spot, that leaves you with 22 available scholarships.splff3000 wrote:Also, jhawk, I have 21 seniors, not 22. Just wanted to give you a heads up on that.

I really like the way you're setting up your team page Joker. The recruiting angle you took is great, I think I'm gonna steal it lol. That is if I can get any recruits to come to Lawrence of course.

Speaking of Cam Newton, you guys have to read this. Keep in mind the source, but it certainly looks like they compiled info from a bunch of sources and it looks like they've done a nice job of reporting. Sorry Splff. I'm posting it over on Rivals too. Firetrucking crazy.

Lol, I was wondering when somebody was gonna christen that word. I censored f uck to "firetruck" just in case anyone is wondering lol. I figured Clark would have been the first but he has been surprisingly calm and well-behaved. I'm waiting for him to bust out, maybe if Wisconsin beats him. If he knocks off Wisconsin though we may see a reappearance of the "greatest coach ever" lol.NY_Eer wrote:Speaking of Cam Newton, you guys have to read this. There is a story behind the whole "firetruck" thing, but the main reasoning is that we don't need to use that word. There are plenty of other words and even curse words that can be used in place of it. I just wanted to nip it in the bud before we saw excessive and unnecessary use of it.

Np...I use it liberally so I will have to watch it. Is there a list of cuss words we can use? That should be fun to put together.

I have always been very calm and collective. I rarely get mad at anyone and never cuss. Wait. Maybe I screwed that up

Go for anything else. If something becomes overly and unnecessarily used, I'll censor it. I say go ahead and use it if you want. It'll censor it automatically. It's kind of interesting to read something with a random firetruck in there (especially when it's a rant).NY_Eer wrote:Np...I use it liberally so I will have to watch it. Well, nothing against anyone, but I think the main issues recently in Workers/Rivals primarily resorted to Ho. Inconsistent board communication coupled with always being last to play can cause some major problems if it's not dealt with quickly. It can cause a decrease in interest from the other members and animosity, it also doesn't help when the commissioner consistently defends the "culprit".Joker12 wrote:I think Clark will be pretty calm cause he actually likes you jhawk unlike the commisoner of rivals...not saying any names haha
Just a warning to all, I would love to fill up completely to 12 users, but I would much rather have a solid, committed group of 7 or 8 (especially since I think we got some really good sliders to make the CPU games interesting), than a full group with 4 or 5 deadbeats. We're already down to 10 and soon could be down to 9. Browningclay1 (Pitt) has been on a ton lately and didn't recruit week 1 and hasn't played yet this week. He also joined another OD a while ago and never played a game and so got booted. If he is the last one left this week I think I'm gonna boot him.
I want to keep this going for a long time, now if only Kansas can get their Firetrucking shit together.
P.S. If anyone has any ideas they'd like to throw around for the board, go ahead and throw them out there.

Anyone have predictions for the Wisconsin USC game happening tonight?

Looks like we're gonna have a user pick up Georgia Tech in the ACC. Hopefully that will at least keep us at 10 if Pitt ends up getting booted.

Oh cool, wonder if he'll run the triple option.

I imagine he will. He ran it with A&M the first season I played him in Workers, so now that he has a team geared for it, he could be pretty good.Joker12 wrote:Oh cool, wonder if he'll run the triple option.

Yessir!!!
I'm taking GT, and I'm running a true Run n Shoot (the one Mouse Davis made, not the June Jones knockoff) with GT's playbook. Joshua Nesbitt is about to turn into Jerrod Johnson 2.0!

Hey guys, I'll get my game in the morning. I've been feeling pretty bad these last few days so I'm probably gonna watch most of the game tonight then turn in. I gotta get up early for something, but I'll get my game in when I get back. Glad that you could join us blaze.

I'm starting to think EA knew something we didn't. Cam Newton gets hurt in every dynasty everyone does for an extended period. In my Cincinnati offline dynasty I'm doing, he hurt himself for about 12 weeks too. Maybe Cecil went up to EA asking for money lol

Sounds good. I'm going to see Harry Potter tomorrow (my girl is obsessed lol) so I'll advance when I get back from that tomorrow afternoon/evening if everyone is done.splff3000 wrote:Hey guys, I'll get my game in the morning.
