Sorry for the delay fellas. Those of you from Rivals know I'm not usually the one holding us up. I had some important shit come up tonight as I was logging on to play, so it got delayed a few hours. Everythings cool now, but I needed to be somewhere. Again, sorry for the hold up.

Tallahassee, FL-- FSU overcomes 5 interceptions to outlast #2 Miami 38-31 in OT. In a hard hitting rivalry clash Heisman Trophy candidate Bert Reed was again the game MVP totaling 3 TDs including the game winning run in OT from 5 yards out.

FSU QB EJ Manuel was erratic to say the least but he made some huge throws when he had to going 16-38 for 368 with 4TDs to go along with those 5 picks. Manuel also chipped in with 50 yards on 10 carries.

Jermaine Thomas did an adequate job filling in for Chris Thompson but the Seminole offense sorely missed his explosiveness. Thomas totaled 85 yards on 16 carries but was largely held in check by the Hurricane defense.

For Miami Jacory Harris went 13 of 25 for 200 yards and two picks. Damien Berry was a force on the ground with 132 yards on 25 carries and backup tailback Lamar Miller had added 53 yards on the ground and 2 TD's.

The game started out all Miami. The 'Canes won the toss and elected to receive. Jacory Harris led a methodical drive down the field that resulted in a 28 yard TD scamper by Lamar Miller. The teams then traded punts before EJ Manuel's 1st interception would set up a Miami TD to make the score 14-0 early in the second quarter.

Things didn't look good for the Seminoles at this point but after trading punts again, EJ Manuel found Bert Reed from 28 yards out to cut the lead to 14-7. After kicking off Jacory Harris was picked of on the first play of the drive by linebacker Telvin Smith. On the very next play Manuel and Reed hooked up again on a beautiful play action pass and in the span of 13 seconds the game was tied.

On the ensuing drive Harris was picked off again but the Hurricane D stepped up and held FSU to a field Goal. The score would hold at 17-14 until halftime.

FSU managed to score first in the 3rd quarter to go up 24-14 but the Noles couldn't put Miami away as Jacory Harris engineered a 10 play drive that was capped with another TD run by Miller this time from 17 yards out. On the ensuing possession Manuel was picked again and senior linebacker Jordan Futch took it 51 yards to the house.

The crowd at Doak Campbell was silenced as their two score lead had vanished in just over a minute and the Seminoles now found themselves trailing 24-28. On the next drive Manuel was picked off again and the Canes looked to take control of the game. Somehow FSU stepped up and forced a 3 and out and on their next possession Manuel found Taiwan Easterling open on an 86 yard bomb that turned Doak Campbell into a frenzy.

Now up a field goal the Noles stopped the Canes again and embarked on a 10 play drive that was finally stalled when EJ Manuel was sacked on 3rd down. Miami was pinned deep in their own territory after the punt but Harris found Laron Byrd on a 65 yard pass that could have gone for 6 but a huge tackle by Telvin Smith saved the touchdown.

Miami then decided to play for OT as they reeled off 3 consecutive running plays and tied the game at 31 from 29 yards out.

The Canes won the toss in OT and the Noles drove it down to the 5 before Bert Reed ran it in on the option pitch from Manuel.
Miami went 4 and out as Harris couldn't find Johnson over the middle on 4th down and FSU escaped with the upset win against #2 Miami.

Great game Clark that was everything a rivalry game should be. Lots of back and forth, some hard hits and good playcalling. I'm sure we'll meet again in the ACC Championship.

Posted some videos cuz this was a great one.
