Re: CFF 2012 Season Discussion Thread
All League Pages updated.
After a HUGE week defensively against the 2nd-ranked Wisconsin Badgers, 3 Jayhawks defenders make their way onto the Heisman watch list, shuffling out a few offensive players who had down weeks.
Coach Jhawk hopes that at least one of those defensive players can keep performing at their current level and maintain themselves on the Heisman watch list. Inevitably, with as much offensive firepower as there is in college football, there is no way 3 defensive players, all from the same team no less, can maintain themselves on the Heisman watch list board.
Only time will tell if Huldon Tharp, Jake Laptad, or Steven Johnson has what it takes to become the first defensive only player to win the Heisman trophy in over 60 years, since Notre Dame's Leon Hart did it in 1949. If they were to accomplish the feat, they would be just the 3rd player ever to do so, and in the world of highpower offenses of today, it is almost impossible to imagine.
Good luck to Tharp, Laptad, and Johnson, and all other Heisman hopefuls out there.

Now i'm even more pissed that you switched teams. USC was dirty I don't know how you sucked so bad with them. I'll be taking my frustrations out on JHawk and Kansas.

Re: CFF 2012 Season Discussion Thread
Well I lost 49-42 to USC. Was down 38-14 in the 4th quarter and instead of just running the game out I decided to try and come back and abuse the CPU, got it to 41-35 with 1:55 remaining but their player made a miracle onside recovery (wish I could post the replay, he leaped up and caught it 1 handed). They then scored, which was a mistake, because I scored 20 seconds later, 49-42 USC with 1:09 to go. Again they recovered an onside kick. But instead of running the clock out they absolutely butchered their playcalling and gave me a last second hail mary from my 10 yard line, had a guy behind the defense but was hit while throwing so it was incomplete.
Overall just a stupid game, I'm not even going to post the stats for either team because they are completely unrealistic lol ah Firetruck on to the next game.

Best thing that ever happened to USC was DClark gettin his sorry ass outta Cali lol. They beat the defending champs then #3 Stanford. USC is playing inspired(albeit jewish) football now that the cancer has fully left them.....ahhhemmm DClark hahaha. Just so u know DC i'm only just messing around hope ur not taking anything to heart, it's just harmless shit talk brother. Hopefully we can renew the Miami-PSU rivalry from the late 80's early 90's next year. Then we can find out who can back up their shit talk. Maybe a New Year's Day bowl game is in our future as well. To be continued........
On to the exciting news. Penn St. bounces back from a heart breaking loss to USC by steam rolling JHawk and the #19 Kansas Jayhawks 48-14. The game was much much much closer then the score would indicate. I had 3 fumble recoveries for td's(2 on kickoffs) and an INT returned for a TD. But with all those lucky bounces going my way I still threw 3 picks myself and managed to play great defense and shutdown the KU run game and MIghty Mouse QB DJ Beshears. The PSU def. knocked the little boy all over the field and sacked him 4 times and hurried him all game. My offense wasn't very good but I was able to put together a few drives when I needed to. I would be very interested to see how the game went down if I didn't get those 2 kickoff fumbles for td's. Pretty sure I still would have won but it would have been a real good game. I had like 11 recruits come to this game so hopefully I can nab a few cuz i'm hurting after f'en up the 1st 2 weeks.

If stop avoids injuries I like his chances. He is excellent on defense and the mobile qb with the near unstoppable receiver. That guy has my heisman vote right now.

I hope that TD with 7 seconds left made you feel good farcas. If I was jhawk next time I play you I'd try to put up 100.

I picked a dive just to run the clock out QB kneel didnt cross my mind for some reason. I txted hawk and told him my bad I didnt mean to score. Its not like I ran a toss or an option to try and score. It was def my bad though.
Yo Joker wtf is up with u in my OD? 3 str8 weeks of getting simmed with no explanation on the boards? Do u still want in or not? If you don't just let me know man.

Don't think I'm gonna have time to stay in that one, I'm trying to get down to 2 because 4 is too many at this point.

Lol, I thought you learned your lesson on that last year joker. I remember when you and I were in 5 at once. Had Rivals, Workers, SCFL, that 1-star team one, and I can't remember the name of the other one, but I do remember winning a championship in there before resigning. Think it's still running on operationsports as well....just one of those extremely slow dynasties, twice a week advance or once a week.

I made SCFL my bitch last season lol. At one point I think I was 51-0 or something with 3 straight NC's.

Alright, I guess we can wait as long as you get it in tomorrow. You're playing Boise so simming it could go either way and I would rather Boise lose so that they don't make the title game.tbuck0027 wrote:I am not home right now to play it. Re: CFF 2012 Season Discussion Thread
Wisconsin absolutely dominates Boise St winning 30-6. Coach tbuck in a surprise move installed a full time 3-4 D over the week and it absolutely destroys Kellen Moore and the Broncos. The Badgers haulted the vaunted Bronco offense to only 270 yards got one interception and tallied 4 sacks, and forced Moore to throw into coverage alot or throw while getting hit. Great comeback game for the Badgers.
On a side note, anyone who has used the 34 D before, how great is the 2-4-5 nickel? Just unreal for me as i decided to give it ago since the Packers have unreal success with it and it is just great. thats all and sorry again for the delay

Re: CFF 2012 Season Discussion Thread
Hey guys, just letting you know. I was in the third quarter of my game against the bitch ass Tigers and my game froze. I'm too tired to try and play again tonight though so I'll play tomorrow. Hopefully I can play as well as I was as I was up 27-10 and I have a ton of recruits at the game. Let's try and have a quick advance here, only 2 people have played so far. Come on guys, lets get some energy back up in here and on the boards!
Re: CFF 2012 Season Discussion Thread
Well, luckily I made it a game against USC in the 4th and only dropped to #6. Beat Washington State this week pretty easily thanks to a 33-46 passing day from Luck. Did throw 2 interceptions though, need to cut those down. Hopefully USC loses to Oregon and we get into a 3 way tie or something.
